Julianne Brown - Biography

To be able to combine my life passions of entertainment, music and training has been my desire for quite some time. The introduction of DJ training in Secondary Schools, by Somers Entertainment has allowed me to create a course of training which is not only innovating and exciting, but I personally feel very confident will allow students to develop valuable life skills, namely confidence, together with practical small business applications.

During my working career I have developed several training packages for private industry both in Adelaide and Australia wide. My areas of expertise include:

· Mobile Disc Jockey

· Retail Operations

· Entertainment

· Hospitality

· Sales & Marketing

· Time Management

· Occupational Health and Safety

· Management

My previous employment also includes owning five small businesses including retail, wholesale and manufacturing. However, this new endeavour is my most exciting project. I have witnessed several trainees whilst facilitating the Somers Entertainment DJ Training workshops grow in confidence and skills, like no other training programme I have previously delivered. As a passionate facilitator, there is a great sense of satisfaction, when feedback is received that your advice and encouragement has led to your trainees' successful career path in this exciting entertainment industry.

I am currently studying Bachelor of Media/Arts at Adelaide University. However during 2005 to enhance my Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessing my studies will include Bachelor of Vocational and Adult Education.

It is a delight to be able to deliver this unique training programme to South Australian Secondary schools, enabling students an exciting course of study through Vocational Studies A or Community Studies.
