This is an increasingly popular ceremony for wedding receptions. This replaces the basic cutting of the cake which is seen at many weddings. The MC (or DJ) reads a script asking the bride and groom to light a candle for each other, the traditional reason why you have a cake at a wedding is explained, and you are then asked to bring out the candles to celebrate the anniversary of your wedding each year. All of this is performed whilst playing "Kanon" or your choice of song softly in the background for that extra special romantic effect! Finally everything is then given to you at the end of the ceremony as a gift on a beautiful hat box.
