Mobile DJ Training Vocational Studies A Community Studies Available to Yrs 10, 11 and 12 Length 1 or 2 semesters Accreditation 2 SACE units Aspects to consider: · Students gain two SACE units · Genuine interest in developing skills in the Music Industry · Students must be prepared to complete their study on a once a week instruction lesson (2 to 3 hours) conducted on/off campus in conjunction with partnership schools · Students develop independent learning skills · Competency based assessment will take place in work place visits · Work placement will occur at a mutually negotiated time. · Cost $395.00 includes use of mobile DJ equipment during contact hours Content: · Setting up small business that can work independently in the school · Setting up an entity and all business practices associated with that entity · Basic Fundamentals of mobile DJ · Personal presentation · Microphone technique · Hands on experience · Mixing Techniques · Function Protocol · Technical knowledge · Licensing · Promoting & Advertising · Tax advantages Assessment: Practical Exercises, written and research assignments. Note: SSABSA have approved this course as an acknowledged industry training course for Stage 2 Vocational Studies A. |
